阐释永觉法师的艺术灵性

自佛教禅宗在中国兴起，随着佛教界画僧的涌现，东方艺术和禅文化就已经有机地融为了一体。后来，西方艺术也不断地进入了中国艺术领域，也被本来就无比包容的禅文化所接纳，在很短时间内，也就拥有了自己的艺术领地，筑起自己的艺术高地。此后，在一代一代的佛教界修为较深地艺术家不断努力下，用油彩编织出了东方独有的禅文化艺术禅韵。

既然是东方的艺术禅韵，就有着它特殊的禅与艺术的思维真性。德国著名艺术家安塞尔姆·基弗说过：“艺术就是一种哲学系统，它不是一种感觉或情绪，它是所有释放出去的一切再次返回。”是的，只有艺术家在禅思的过程中，才能于自然规律及人生思虑中，找回自我灵悟的哲学真理。因为，禅思不是宗教的产物，它是建立在哲学之上的思维母体，引领着真理和艺术的真正走向。安塞尔姆·基弗又说：“我们无法找到真正的宗教，因为我们不知道何为真理，深刻的真理。”的确，艺术本来就是存在于智慧者思想中的一个灵性，同时又是一个有机元素，在表现形式上延伸出的这一部分，不能代表佛教，但它跟佛教却有着很大的关联性。东方禅韵的艺术，是能够在色彩和意境上，有着疗愈和悟道的功能。

赵无极曾说：“绘画像做和尚一样，是一生的事情，画画就是修行。”他在不断地探索中，寻找着东方的妙觉禅意和西方艺术真情，最后形成了他独特的水墨式的笔触，晕染出宁静意味的艺术抽象符号。永觉法师也正是受到赵无极的这种艺术形式与思想，在艺术和禅修的道路上开辟了自己的艺术境界，用油彩编织着东方的艺术禅韵，大写着艺术的灵性。

永觉法师在进入禅思静虑中，透过自己的思想，以他洞察犀利的心识，把艺术融入了灵魂，用明惬澄观之光，让艺术阅之有物，展露出囿觉之性，挥洒着菩提禅韵，在般若性海的期许中，发挥着彩色的透明禅境。永觉法师用色艳丽，构思绚烂，在禅韵空间里表现出了意象生命之体。永觉法师的艺术灵性，概朱德群的永恒和瞬间的夸张与真实技法，纳赵无极抽象铺洒的明亮和清淡所表现的宁静与修行的意境，借鉴了吴冠中舍弃了纷繁复杂的形式与主观的调整与美化的笔意，在艺术创作和参修禅境中，完美地编织着禅韵思想的东方艺术之魂，把虚境地思想，通过实相的颜料，展示着油彩的意义。

永觉法师在禅定中，以冥思的智慧喷涌出着艺术灵感，通过油彩化现宇宙幻化真如。在时空中变幻着色彩，以东方佛教特有的表现形式，承载着缤纷地卓越艺术禅韵。在虚幻闪烁的物象上，流淌着佛光的真性，犹如一盏明灯于黑暗里照亮整个世界，使大美宇宙以真实幻象，云卷云舒似地飘动着。永觉法师那一幅幅带有宝石色的，与夕阳渲染的晚霞一样，藉我们的视觉，编织东方艺术灵魂，成就了东方艺术禅韵。

有着禅韵的东方艺术作品，是在呼吸着禅思妙觉，在静虑里用艺术技法，表现出了觉者的智慧。最主要的是读者会在艺术作品里读懂艺术家知识起点。因为笔者通常不是只看艺术作品的颜色、材料、技法和内容，基本上是在阅读艺术家的知识点，更多地是透过艺术作品为媒介，倾心真意地与艺术家交流。虽然我们不认识或者没见过某一艺术家，只要能真正的理解什么是艺术，可以说就基本上领会了那位艺术家的创作思维、思想境界和艺术成就了。也是这种心理状态，我决定为永觉法师写这篇评论的初衷。

东方禅韵的艺术作品，其实是表现在于艺术色彩上的般若思想，旨在以妙觉思维方式，编织菩提本识。佛教的艺术殿堂里的所有禅韵，都是以同样的方式弘扬佛法的真理，以理性的沉稳感化着感性的浮躁。如果接触永觉法师的艺术作品，不需要别人的过多赘述，就会很快使人进入禅思的妙觉意境，幻化着生命和灵魂。

永觉法师油彩编织的东方艺术的禅韵，从根本上叙述了东方艺术生态的属性，代表着佛教艺术文化的真性，阐释着禅觉智韵的本性，当然更是在油彩的世界里编织佛法圆融的觉性。

也许有人会认为永觉法师的艺术作品不能算是主流的产物，无法接受这一汹涌澎湃的思想和意趣，也很难产生艺术欣赏的共鸣。笔者认为恰恰相反，因为永觉法师在多年的禅思中找到油彩的艺术基因，用自己觉悟的意象符号，与他自己的文化底蕴形成某种契合，把抽象的和具象的组合成意象的东方禅韵艺术。没有文化底蕴，以及禅思灵明的人是无法能创作出具有灵魂和生命的艺术作品的。

一些西方的画家自称受到了禅宗和中国书法的影响与启示，描摹着禅韵艺术存在的结果，却是使得艺术作品失去的不只是神韵，而更是生命和灵魂。也有一大部分中国的油彩匠人，也高喊禅韵艺术的口号，但总是沾污东方艺术的禅韵。所以，只有禅思高深的觉者，才能体会和读懂永觉法师用油彩所编织的东方艺术的禅韵。

人物介绍

释永觉，字慧一，1964年生于江苏太仓，名朱神光，号无觉子，国际知名的觉性艺术家、中国最优秀的油画家之一，“自然艺术禅”的创立者。现常住温州龙湾天柱禅寺。

Shi Yongjue，styled Huiyi, was born in Taicang, Jiangsu, in 1964, with former name as Zhu Shenguang, and assumed name as Wu Jue Zi. He’s noted as a consciousness artist in many counties, and he is one of a most famous Oil Painters in China, and he created the Natural Art Zen. He is now live in of Tianzhu Zen Temple in Longwan District, Wenzhou city.

Mater Yongjue studied in Stage Design Department of Shanghai Theatre Academy when he was 16 years old (in 1980), and studied in School of Art of Soochow university when he was 21 years old (in 1985), and then had study tours in Europe and America.

法师出家前常居湖山，早期创作情感根植于乡情，绘画八十年代江南水乡场景，之后研读欧洲哲学和艺术美学著作，临摩各派艺术大师作品并画出创意作品，游历名山古刹，结合中国儒释道传统文化，创作意象太湖系列；                                        He usually lives by lakes and in mountains before he became a monk, with his early creation based on nostalgia and with paintings focusing on the scenery of Jiangnan water town in the 1980s. Later, he read and studied European philosophy and art and aesthetics works, copied the works of different schools of art masters and created innovative works, visited famous mountains and old temples, combined Chinese Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism traditional culture, and created Tai Lake image series.

2000年之后开始重点创作觉性艺术作品、禅意作品，通过抽象作品呈现宇宙、自然原始之美，引导人们身心回归自然、宁静、喜悦。永觉法师近年来创立“自然艺术禅”，以禅画、梵呗、颂钵等多种形式接引大众。                              After 2000, he began to create consciousness art works and Zen spirit works, presented the original beauty of universe and nature through abstract works, and guided people to return to nature, serene and happiness physically and mentally. He created the Natural Art Zen in recent years,which will introduce Buddha Dharma to the public in various forms, such as ZenSpirit painting, Buddhist chants, singing bowl and so on.

主要作品介绍

1980年至1990期间的作品多以江南水乡和四川彝族老人为题材，主要作品包括"水韵江南"系列、"梵"系列五十余幅等。

From 1980 to 1990, his works mainly took Jiangnan water town and elders of Yi Nationality in Sichuan as materials, with the main works including “water Jiangnan” and “Fan” series, etc, totally 50 works.

1990年至2000年期间，初期受吴冠中先生启发，创作"万象太湖"系列，后游艺巴黎、布鲁塞尔、佛罗伦萨等艺术圣地的美术馆、画廊、美术院校。

From 1990 to 2000, inspired by Wu Guanzhong in the early stage, he created “All-encompassing Tai Lake” series, and then he visited art galleries, art colleges and universities in Paris, Brussels, Florence and other art holy lands.

2000年左右弃笔用刀，重点向抽象风格发展。后创作"行者"系列等作品。

In around 2000, he stopped painting, but engraving, and focused on developing toward abstract style, with “pedestrian” series, and other works created later.

2012年始，游历泰国、缅甸、斯里兰卡、尼泊尔、印度等国，作品风格向冥想艺术发展。

From 2012 on, he visited Thailand, Myanmar, Sri Lanka,  Nepal，India，etc, with his works developing toward meditation art.

    “我之绘画是为了通过艺术这一形式，去追寻自我存在于宇宙世界的意义。当人类因科学发明的日新月异感叹、骄傲时，殊不知其实质是将人类带上了走向毁灭的快车道。此时只有回归自然，回归人之本源才是唯一出路。也正是人类存在的意义所在。我之艺术是为了通过绘画形式，通过追求美的历程把社会属性的心回归到自然属性的心，去体悟宇宙之精神。体悟神性、佛性的存在；而与之交融，合为一体；体悟存在的意义和道的永恒。我之艺术是探索美的根本，使宇宙、自然之原始的美能在人类视觉中呈显；人是宇宙、自然的部分，人心即宇宙心、自然心。放弃所有思想，抛开一切观念，打开心门，让宇宙之光芒照耀心田。                      My art wants to pursue my meaning in universe through painting. When human are amazed by and proud of rapid changes brought by scientific invention, they fail to aware that it brings human to the fast lane of ruin. At such a time, returning to nature and the human origin is the only way out, which is also the meaning for human existence. My art wants to return the heart with social property to the heart with natural property, feel the universe spirits through pursuing beauty by painting. My art wants to feel the existence of divinity and Buddhata, integrate with them, and feel the meaning of existence and the eternity of Taoism. My art wants to explore the nature of beauty through painting, and make the original beauty of universe and nature present in the vision of human. Human is just a part of universe and nature, human heart is the heart of universe and the heart of nature. My art abandons all thoughts and all concepts, but open the heart and let the light of universe brighten the heart.

我之艺术，没有思想，没有形式。作画时看不到色彩，摸不着画布，是自心觉性而舞。我之作品不是绘画，是我在宇宙中呼吸时留下的气息。” （朱神光自述）

   My art has no thoughts, no form. When I create, I see no color, and touch no canvas, but just my heart dances. My works are not paintings, but just the smell I left when I breathe in the universe. (ZhuShenguang’s self narration).
